FBI Tested VPN Service.


With all the selections out there for VPN services, few of them actually offer real anonymity. For the ones that do, there is a particular one that actually made headlines that was put to the test. Private Internet Access was subpoenaed by the FBI to hand over logs during the investigation of a 25-year-old named Preston McWaters . This was phoning in false bomb threats and stalking an ex-worker. They had enough evidence to arrest him, but when it came to retrieving logs from the VPN service, they ran into a brick wall. This guy, for what he has done deserves to be prosecuted. The fact that this VPN service handed over information that in no way could help the FBI shows proof that his company really keeps its customers anonymous.  You can read the full article here.
